Eatin' Xperience 

Masih dengan kulineran di sekitar Depok, niat mau makan siang cantyiiikkk dengan doi, sekaligus chit chat-an ganteng sama abang wira. Seperti biasa, sabtu siang pasti waktu padet-padetnya Depok. Hari Sabtu itu, kita ke Margocity dan perut pun mulai keroncongan, so kita putuskan untuk cari tempat makan yang belum pernah dicoba sekaligus asyik buat berlama-lama ngobrol. Then, we decided to choose De Barra. De Barra Margocity adalah restoran yang menyajikan menu Italia, seperti pizza, spaghetti hingga risotto.

Spaghetti Marinara ala De Barra

Rasa (8/10): Dari segi rasa ya cukup enak, mirip-mirip Bolognese. Tapi, dilihat dari tampilan saus marinara-nya pucet banget aslinya (foto yang di atas udah diedit, kece dikit). As I know, marinara sauce itu kan meraaahhhhh mantep…hemm 

Spaghetti marinara ala De Barra ini dilengkapi dengan potongan cumi, paprika dan sedikit daging cincang yang berbaur dengan sausnya. 

Moo Loco Risotto

Rasa (6/10): What a disappointed menu I think… As I know, risotto has a smooth and delicate texture. So, I expect a nice risotto bake with savoury taste and creamy texture. Risotto baked sangat kering. Gak ngerti kenapa bisa sampe sekering itu, bahkan setiap nasinya terpisah-pisah jadi butiran. Apa mungkin sebelum di baked belum jadi risotto beneran? Atau Cuma nasi yang di goreng terus di baked? Hemmm.. 

Rasanya sangat hambar! I just say the truth.. sorry…. Hemmmppf Risotto baked-nya diberi tambahan potongan smoked beef dan vegetable mix. Sudahlah…itu gak sebanding dengan harga yang ditawarkan…nyesel? Iya! 

Earl Grey Tea

Premium tea De Barra disajikan dengan ceramic tea pot dan cangkir mungilnya. Seru yaaa Italian restaurant menyajikan premium tea with tea pot kaya gitu. Teh yang dipakai Dilmah tea. Aromanya sedaappppp, cucokk buat chit chat sambil nge-teh. FYI, Earl grey tea adalah teh hitam yang dicampur dengan minyak garmot. Garmot adalah sejenis jeruk atau varian citrus, jadi earl grey tea punya aroma yang tajam citrus gituuu...penasaran? Cobain aja teh yang satu ini.

Iced Tea Lychee

Segerrrrr!!! Dan yang bikin makin enak adalah buah leci yang ada pada es tehnya. Enak! Cukup buat ngilangin kekecewaan risotto-nya. Overall for the bevereges are nice. 

Setelah menyicipi sebagian menu di De Barra Margocity, pertanyaan selanjutnya adalah ‘bakal balik lagi kah?’ Mungkin akan kembali lagi untuk cicipi pizzanya yang terlihat menggiurkan di buku menu..hehe tapi balik untuk risotto-nya, sepertinya TIDAK! Hehehe…

Di Depok, tepatnya di Jalan Margonda Raya ada salah satu restoran makanan Korea bernama Daebak. Sebenarnya, tak ada rencana untuk ke restoran Korea di bulan ini. Hemm.. tapi rasanya craving dengan makanan korea, mungkin efek keseringan nonton drama Korea kali yaa.. hehe. So, me and my hubby decided to try Korean cuisine in Daebak. Ini kali pertamanya kami mencoba menu di Daebak. 

Untuk tempatnya, Daebak terletak di ruko tepatnya seberang Pesona Khayangan, sebelah Fat Bubble. Tempatnya mungkin tidak terlalu luas. Tempat duduknya terletak di lantai 2, sedangkan lantai 1 digunakan sebagai kitchen-nya. Di lantai 2 dibedakan menjadi 2 ruangan (entah apa bedanya). Sebenarnya sii jadi terkesan sempit yaa karena diberi sekat yang gak penting sii kayanya. Di ruangan 1 lebih terasa sejuk AC nya, sedangkan di ruangan 2 yang saya tempati lebih terasa "anget". 

Di Daebak, kami memesan yukaejang (sup daging sapi) sudah termasuk nasi dan Ojingeo Bokkeum (nasi dengan tumisan cumi sayuran bumbu pedas) dan kimchi. Sayangnya di Daebak, tak seperti di restoran lainnya yang selalu menyajikan kimchi sebagai side dish menunya. Di Daebak, kita harus beli kimchi sendiri. Hemm...

Korean Food

Yukaejang

Rasa (8/10): Gurih & slightly spicy. Rasa kaldu daging sapinya terasaaaaa banget. 1 porsi yukaejang terdiri dari mie, telur rebus orak-arik, daging sapi dan sayuran. Aroma kaldu dagingnya menambah kenikmatan. Tapi, kalau menurut saya sayangnya kurang panas. Makan sup seperti ini paling enak kalau disajikan panas.

Ojingeo Bokkeum

Rasa (6/10): Untuk rasa yaaa standar aja. Entah memang aslinya seperti itu atau tidak, tapi menurut saya bumbu sausnya (sepertinya gochujang) terlalu over power, sehingga menutupi rasa sayurannya. Menurut saya, sayurannya kurang crunchy (selera sii yaa, saya lebih suka tumis sayuran yang masih crunchy). Cuminya pun bisa dihitung dengan jari. Sayang sekali, dikit banget cuminya, kayanya cuma 3 biji deh! Fiuhhh...

Kimchi

Oriental Spicy Chicken Wings 

Bahan: 

½ kg Sayap Ayam

Tepung terigu

Tepung maizena

Minyak goreng

Bumbu Marinate:

1 siung bawang putih 

Garam 

Merica

Ketumbar 

Bumbu Halus:

2 siung bawang putih

5 cabai rawit merah

½ ruas jahe 

Garam

Merica 

Saus: 

2 ½ sdm saus tiram (25 ml)

3 ½ sdm kecap manis

Saus belibis (sesuai selera tingkat pedasnya)

Cara membuat:

1. Haluskan bumbu marinasi untuk ayam. Balurkan hingga rata. Lalu marinate dengan masukkan ke dalam kulkas hingga beberapa jam. 

2. Setelah di diamkan beberapa jam, ayam pun siap untuk di goreng terlebih dahulu. Panaskan minyak, campur tepung terigu, tapung maizena dengan takaran 2:1. Balurkan ayam ke tepung, lalu goreng hingga matang dan golden brown. Angkat dan sisihkan.

3. Haluskan bumbu halus, lalu tambahkan bumbu sausnya. Aduk hingga rata. 

4. Panaskan penggorengan dengan sedikit minyak (api kecil). Masukkan bumbu saus yang sudah tercampur kedalam penggorengan lalu panas dan matangkan. Masukkan ayam yang sudah di goreng lalu aduk hingga bumbu tercampur rata. 

5. Angkat dan siap dinikmati.

I never expected for something sweet in May 27th. I'm so happy to being 24. So, your birthday wishes for me is only something that I want to heard about. 

Well, it can be said that birthday surprise for me. He invited me to go somewhere where I didn't know. As a nice and happy girlfriend, I do not want to much curious about it, although I can read his plan... hehehe He knows me so well.. :D

Durian Durian Durian!!

This time in my eatin’ xperience will talked about Sop Durian. As the one of tropical fruit in Asia, Durian is getting popular lately in Indonesia. It is because there are lots of food invention of Durian, such as pancake durian dan sop durian. Can you imagine the fragrance of durian combine with the smoothness of it? Ya, the fragrance is the one uniqueness of Durian that many people crazy about it. 

Saturday Afternoon...

So, in Saturday Afternoon, I decided to try the one popular Sop Durian in Depok. Sop Duren Lodaya, this durian café is located in Margonda Raya, Depok. Many people said that Sop Durian Lodaya is very delicious and so much recommended. It makes me curious about the taste of it. That day was the first time I came to Lodaya. When I came into it, I chose the second floor because from the outside, it looks comfortable with the large window on it. But, it was far from what I’m expected for. The ambience is very “hampa”, I thought that Lodaya needs music to liven up the ambience. It feels like “kriikk kriikk”. In my own opinion, the chairs and table are not comfortable enough to hang out for hours. 

Move to the most talked about Sop Durian itself. I ordered Sop Durian ketan item and Sop durian brownies. For snack, I ordered roti bakar keju. Sop Durian Ketan Item in a personal size is very small enough. So, if you want to full your tummy, you can order MaBook (large size). In my opinion, Sop Durian Lodaya is not refreshing enough because it’s very thick. You will find some ice cubes on the bottom and then durian & ketan item. Finish with spreads of cheese. Unfortunately, for me Sop Durian taste like durian with ketan item only (that's the reason why it's not refreshing enough). So, I have to wait till the ice cubes melted down enough and then I can mix them well to be a Sop Durian. It is because, if I didn’t wait it, I feel just like eating durian (not “sop”). The same thing happened of Sop Durian brownies. You need to wait some ice cubes melted down and then mix them well (But, if you like thick texture, it'll be okay). The brownies can add nice texture of soft durian. So, it’s nice to try. There is also strawberry slices and spreads of cheese on top. 

Snack...

For roti bakar keju (cheese bread toast), it’s very lots of cheeseeeeeeeee. I’m a fan of cheese, so it was delicious bread toast. You can see lots of cheese on top until covered up the bread and condensed milk. Inside of the bread toast, there is another cheese. So, it’s just like all about cheese, cheese, and cheese. Hemm, I think it’s pretty good to cure my disappointed of Sop Durian. 

For the price, I thought is too pricey for Sop Durian like that. Why? It’s because I ever taste another Sop Durian which tastier, large size and refreshing with nice price. For me, it’s okay if it’s pricey as long as tasty. But, Sop Duren Lodaya? Hemmmm…. 

Anyway, the durian is the star of Sop Duren Lodaya. Two thumbs up for the durian taste. They have the real Durian, but I do not like the texture of Sop Durian that I expected. Thank you… 

Holycow! Citos

On this time of my eatin' xperience will be talk about popular steak in Jakarta. In Jakarta, you can find lots of steakhouse easily and it becomes so much popular among young people. The one steakhouse that lots of talked  is Holycow! by Chef Afit. For this time, I have xperience to taste this most talked about steak, Holycow! in Cilandak Town Square (Citos), Jakarta. 

Eventhough, the restaurant is located in the corner, but the red exterior of Holycow! can be easily recognized. The decor of Holycow! Citos is very rustic and look like a ranch. You can feel the ranch ambience with nice lighting effect. 

Beverages

After I chose the seat, right away I ordered Wagyu Tenderloin and Nolan Tenderloin. When you order to the waitress, you will be ask for the side dishes (potato, vegetables and sauce) and also the wellness of steak (raw, medium, welldone). So, prepare yourself before you will be asked by the waitress. Then, for the beverage, I ordered mango peach ice and iced cappucinno. While I waitin' for my order, I'm very enjoy with warm ambience because of the decoration and the smoke of grilling. 

Then.. Voilaa!! My order is coming!! 

Wagyu Tenderloin

Wellness: Welldone

Sauce: Blackpepper sauce

Vegetable: Sautee spinach and corn

When my wagyu on the table, I can smell the fragrant of fresh beef. Hmmm... it showed how fresh it is! Then, I poured the blackpepper sauce on top of it. When I cut the steak...it's very very tenderrrrr!!! When you make a welldone steak, it can easily to be dried, but IT'S NOT AT ALL!! I found that it's very juicy in a well done. It just melted in my mouth beautifully. Blackpepper sauce and wagyu steak is the best combination. Try it! The first bite is just like a first kiss (lebay *mode on), u know. Maybe you think it's too much, but it's true!! This wagyu tenderloin felt more tasty with the mashed potato. Smooth dan savory mashed potato make you feel calm on your mouth. For the vegetables, the sauteed spinach is very nice and fresh. I think everyone who doesn't like spinach or greens will be change their mind. Hehehe

Not too different with the wagyu, I can smell nice aroma of this steak. It's very nice to see the grilled mark on it. Wuuuihh!! Just saw that grilled mark can make me more hungry.. hehe. The french fries hmm just like another typical french fries. The vegetables was very tasty and I loved the crunch of beans. For the beverage that I ordered is nice. The Mango peach was so refreshing than cappucinno. 
But overall, when you eat steak (wagyu) and non-wagyu, you will find the difference. Wagyu is more tender. It has a soft texture than other meat. So, wagyu is recommended!!

Beberapa orang menganggap bahwa memasak itu sulit. Hal itu juga yang dulu saya alami. Memasak merupakan salah satu skill atau kemampuan yang bisa semakin terasah jika terbiasa. Namun, untuk saya, memasak merupakan hal yang menyenangkan. Dengan memasak, saya bisa menghilangkan stress dan lelah saya selama bekerja. Memasak untuk saya bukan hanya sekedar hobi tapi passion yang membuat saya selalu ingin mencoba resep baru.

koepoe koepoe

Saya masih ingat, beberapa tahun lalu, sewaktu saya SMA, membuat kue adalah hal yang cukup sulit. Walaupun passion memasak belum muncul, namun rutinitas membuat kue bersama mama menjadi hal yang menyenangkan. Koepoe koepoe adalah salah satu produk yang WAJIB ada di storage dapur mama. Dan ternyata kebiasaan itu menurun ke saya. Loyalitas mama terhadap brand koepoe koepoe memang tak perlu diragukan lagi. Setiap memilih bahan membuat kue, pasti nggak mau pilih yang lain. Nggak percaya deh kayanya kalo produk brand lain bisa membuat kue mama paling enak..hehe 

Ketika saya mengikuti training hotel di Pastry Kitchen, koepoe koepoe tak berhenti menghantui saya (in a good way) hehe : )
Tak hanya memasak, saya pun menjadi mengenal berbagai merek produk masakan. Baking powder dari Koepoe-koepoe adalah bahan yang paling sering saya gunakan setiap hari. 

• Baking Powder Koepoe Koepoe

Tanpa baking powder koepoe koepoe, pancake bukanlah apa-apa. Coba bayangin kalau bikin pancake tanpa baking powder? Gagal? Bantet? Gepeng? nggak mengembang? Ya bener banget! So, kebiasaan setiap hari membuat pancake dengan baking powder koepoe koepoe inilah  yang membuat saya makin percaya diri di dapur. Baking powder dari koepoe koepoe memang benar-benar bekerja dengan optimal! Wow!!! Adonannya pun lebih mengembang maksimal dan pancake-nya pun empuk dan fluffy. Pancake ini adalah sedikit cerita dari jutaan #curhatanrasa yang saya buat dengan produk koepoe koepoe.

• Pewarna Makanan Koepoe Koepoe

Produk koepoe koepoe makin menghantui saya selama di pastry kitchen!! Gimana tidak, setiap membuat jajanan pasar dan kue, saya harus pilih warna yang cantik untuk cake. Varian warna dari  pewarna makanan Koepoe Koepoe yang ada di storage buanyaaaakkk banget!! Banyaknya pilihan membuat ide kreatif memadukan warna pun semakin seru lho! Layaknya anak kecil yang senang diberikan pensil warna, itulah yang saya rasakan. Tanpa ragu memilih warna yang saya yakin bisa membuat cake makin terlihat lezat. 

Then...
Dari situlah, saya mulai terbiasa dan sering menggunakan produk Koepoe-koepoe dirumah setiap membuat kue. Stock produk koepoe-koepoe yang selalu ada wajib dirumah adalah baking powder, baking soda, vanilla powder dan pewarna makanan merah. Dengan adanya produk koepoe koepoe, membuat kue pun serasa lebih mudah, kue anti bantat dan makin bisa menjelajah rasa. #CurhatanRasa
